Creating a table in a database Microsoft Access 2003 consists in:
- selecting the type of object Tables in the Database Window [...];
- command launch New in the toolbar of the Database Window;
- selecting how to create the table from the list of the options in the dialog box New Table.

Ways to create a table in Access 2003:
- Datasheet View: creates a table that contains a set of the fields; table opening is made directly in Datasheet View for immediate introduction of data; initially, the table contains 10 fields with names Field1, Field2, …, Field10; associated data type field is set depending on the nature of data entered;

- Design View: creates a table for which the user must explicitly define the types of associated data fields and their properties;

- Table Wizard: creates a table using a wizard application included in Microsoft Access 2003; application wizard assists the user in adding new fields in the created table and appropriate combination of properties for these fields;

- Import Table: creates a table by importing data from an external database (Access, Lotus 1-2-3, Paradox, dBase), or external data source (Excel books, Outlook or Microsoft Exchange directories, XML, HTML, text files, ODBC data sources); bases or external data sources are specified in the Import dialog box displaying when the option Import Table is selected;

- Link Table: creates a table linked to another database or external data source; binding is specified in the Link dialog box displayed when the Link Table option is selected.
