This solution is for Windows 2K, Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server. IIS is the web server developed by Microsoft for all their OS platforms, both desktop and server. In order to determine the IIS (Internet Information Services) you must open the MMC (Microsoft Management Console) for IIS. This can be done:
- using Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services
- using the command line with the command C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\iis.msc (the path is available for Windows XP, but the general syntax is C:\Windows Folder\System32\Inetsrv\iis.msc
When the IIS Management Console opens it shows on the right the IIS version number. It this information is not visible, then it can be used the Help option. From the menu select Help -> About Internet Information Services.
